Why the DataCon

Its a space for those interested in developping Uganda football data to meet and talk about the journey so far and the way forward.
The convenor, www.ugandafootball.com will be celebrating a milestone of 10,000 scores recorded and the founder will share what to expect as we build for the next milestones.

What To Expect

As mentioned, we shall recognise our efforts and talk about the journey ahead, covering a range of selected topics.
We are assembling a team of formidable speakers to speak onsite and online about Uganda football data.

Topics

A wide range of topics shall be discussed such as: The role of data in Ugandan football. How lack of data hurts football. The pain of finding Uganda football data. Bringing data closer to fans. UPL data strategy. Football and the data economy. Using data to win sponsorships. Relative Age Effect issue in football. Data led scouting. Experiences and stories from other countries (South Africa).

Any member of these categories, who wants to see better data in Ugandan football: Club Administrators, Competition Organisers, Journalists, Football Administrators, Players, Football Fans, Researchers, Investors and anyone interested in developping data for football in Uganda.

These shall include subject matter experts about data and data in football, with a rich experience to share from advanced countries. Selected people from the Ugandan football fraternity are also on the list.
